That could be down to corrupted data. If you've only downloaded the installer once then try redownloading that. Do you have any other issues with the computer that might suggest you're seeing memory or disk errors?

It could also be a permissions issue. I have tried a number of times to install with the same error each time. The Zoom client was working ok on my laptop a few weeks ago and I haven't knowingly installed or changed anything that I can think of that may have affected this.

I am thinking that perhaps I have had an automatic update of Zoom in the last few weeks? If it's any more help, below are the last few lines rather than the first few, as above from the error file. I have been using the Zoom client successfully on the same laptop Windows 8 successfully since last March start of first lockdown , but for whatever reason it now does not work. I am not sure why I have had to re-install the Zoom client, but it is the re-install that is now giving me the error. I will do a system restore back to early December when it was working and see how that works.
